As advised in our Newsletter, I am delighted to announce that the Rabbinic Couple Recruitment Committee, together with the Executive and the Council at Magen Avot, have, subject to Magen Avot members approval, offered Rabbi Yoni and Rebbetzen Dina Golker the position of part time Rabbinic couple at Magen Avot.
They have accepted the offer and, subject to ratification by the members of Magen Avot, look forward to being an integral part in the continued growth of Magen Avot.
On Thursday evening 7 July, Friday night 8 July and during the day on Shabbat 9 July 2022 we will meet and be able to hear Rabbi Yoni Golker and Rebbetzen Dina Golker, who will be with us at Magen Avot together with their children. They will also be able to meet members informally during the kiddush on that day.
After Shabbat, on 9 July, online voting for the appointment of the Rabbinic couple will open to all members of Magen Avot, closing at 3.00pm on Sunday 10 July. Instructions on how to vote will be sent to members.
As you will see from the attached detailed background information, Rabbi Yoni and Rebbetzen Dina have been the community Rabbi and Rebbetzen at St. John’s Wood Synagogue for the past 6 years.
